Garrigues is among the top ten most innovative law firms, according to the FT and RSGI

By the number of times it has appeared in the FT’s Innovative Lawyers ranking

Garrigues appears on the list of the top ten most innovative law firms in the EU in the past 20 years in the ranking produced by the Financial Times and global research and intelligence agency RSGI. It is the second most often listed firm in the rankings of most innovative law firms by FT Innovative Lawyers Europe.

For the 20th anniversary of the FT Innovative Lawyers awards, the Financial Times, in conjunction with RSGI, has published a special report looking back over the latest 20 years of transformation of the legal sector worldwide. The report highlights that, in this period, the legal sector has moved from a slow adoption of technology to rapidly embracing generative AI.

Garrigues started participating in the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards in 2008, two years after its creation in 2006, and since then has been recognized at least eight times as the top firm in Continental Europe. In the same period it has also consistently appeared among the most innovative law firms in Europe.

In recent years it has received a range of awards, including for driving the digital skills of its members (2024), for the creation of a new legal standard speeding up the recovery of non-performing loans (2019) and for its advisory services in the merger of Iberia and British Airways (2011)., Rosa Zarza, Eduardo Abad, Carolina Pina and Cristina Mesa have also been recognized among the sector’s most innovative lawyers.
